The hotel, one of the most emblematic establishments in Cuba's tourism sector, was declared a National Monument and has been visited by prominent personages from all over the world.

Over the past 80 years, the Hotel Nacional de Cuba has been visited by world-renowned guests such as Winston Churchill, and artists Frank Sinatra, Marlon Brandon, Robert Redford and Robert de Niro.
